  The days of simple television viewing are over. It would be hard to imagine someone just sitting and watching television while using just the simple speakers housed in the television cabinet. Those speakers are not meant to bring a full experience of sound to the viewer. They are only meant to tease so that you will want to invest in the home theatre. The entire package for the home theatre most include every component to reach the senses on every level.


In order to immerse yourself in the total viewing and listening sensation, you must give strong consideration to your seating in the home theatre. You must not be sitting on a sofa. Only the personal deep-cushioned chair will do. The chairs must have individual drink holders and foot rests. Obviously, the temptation will be to miss the entire movie because once you are seated in total comfort, you might fall asleep. That is just part of the work you must do. Resist. Next, the room must be equipped with the ability to provide complete darkness. To take in the finest of viewing, you must not be distracted by ambient lighting. Only darkness will do.

Another tremendously important factor in the home theatre is sound. Let's not talk speakers here. Let's talk about sensation. The sound must be in your mind and soul, not just your ears. You must experience the sound, feel the words, your emotions must be dramatically stirred with the music. When you here dialogue it must grip you to the point of being tempted with an audible response to conversation in the film.

Above all, to complete your home theatre, you must have the finest in high-definition, digital projection equipment. We're not talking about a television screen. This is exceptional quality projection. The picture must draw you into the scenes. You must become part of what you're viewing. The home theatre must be a place of total seclusion so you will not be disturbed while you are viewing your favorite movies. Cell phones should remain outside the home theatre. Bathroom facilities should be used prior to the opening credits. Once the opening scene presents itself, you must not leave the room. Your home theatre should be constructed in such a way as to make it almost impossible for you to leave once the film has begun. Your favorite actors become your family in your high quality home theatre.
